About Arts Avenue for Kids   

   Welcome to Arts Avenue for Kids…a Christian theater and dance studio. We believe it is important to give children an avenue to learn different art forms in a setting that is committed to strong ethical, moral, technical and artistic standards of excellence. We are excited to offer theater and dance classes to kids so they can learn, excel, build self-confidence and find joy in the creative process. All of this is accomplished in a safe and supportive environment. We want kids and parents alike to realize that they can do high quality work in the arts without compromising their values. 

   Each class is taught by a skilled instructor with professional experience in their art. The teachers love kids and have a desire to nurture students and be positive role models as they teach theater and dance fundamentals while having a fun time! Our theater classes will work on scenes and songs from shows like Annie, The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, and many others while our dance classes will be dancing to music that is fun, beautiful, and full of praise!

   Vicki Henderson is the founder and director of Arts Avenue for Kids. She has a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communications/Theater and a Master's degree in Education. Vicki taught at the Kids Acting Studio in Austin for 6 years and before that taught Speech Communications at Round Rock High School. She also performed with her ministry Avenue Ministries for 10 years at retreats, conferences, schools and other events nationwide. She has performed with several professional theater groups including PowerHouse Productions in Chicago, Reignmaker Ministries based out of St. Paul, and was one of the co-founders of Castellan Productions in Denver.  She has had the dream to open a Christian arts studio for kids for many years and is excited to see that dream come to reality. In the future, she is planning to expand Arts Avenue for Kids to include private music lessons, choir, painting, and more! 

   Arts Avenue for Kids is not affiliated with a church body. Everyone is welcome! We would love for your child to join us on a journey of learning the arts! In everything we do, we will strive to give honor to God!
